The Decentralized Finance ("DeFi") Hackathon event is a three-day event that leverages open source software and decentralized networks to transform traditional financial products into trustless and transparent solutions without intermediaries.

DeFi solution using Waves Platform - Waves (2)

Create an effective DeFi solution/service using RIDE and Waves Blockchain like algorithmic stablecoins, insurance services, borrowing, lending, etc.

Prize:
1st place: 800 Waves.
2nd place: 500 Waves.
3rd place: 200 Waves.

What's your judging criteria?
We will assess:
The novelty of the idea
UI: friendly interface, low entry threshold, logical and simple user experience
Fullness of use of Waves’ tools and platform features
Complexity of the solution

What are you looking for in a successful project?
We’re looking for new ideas and interesting models in finances, successful project should have the potential to attract many users, especially not familiar with crypto. It also should use as many as possible Waves products - Waves Keeper, RIDE, DEX, etc.

Agoric - Tech Stack Challenge (2)

Prize:
$2500 for the top prize, and $500 for the secondary bonus prize!

What's your judging criteria?
The top prize goes to the best use of the Agoric technology stack. A secondary bonus prize will go to the project with the best reusable component.

What are you looking for in a successful project?
We are excited about projects that incorporate or engage with some of the following: uses of our Electronic Rights Transfer Protocol (ERTP), uses of Zoe, create new assets, compose rights in an interesting way, solve a real problem, have a UI.

Painting with Coda - O(1) Labs (2)

Synchronize a node with the live Coda testnet — and then build a cool visualization on top of the Coda GraphQL API.

Participants with free time during a break working on a larger project should be able to synchronize a node. Stop by our booth for a small prize here.

What's your judging criteria?
For the Testnet synchronization, it's binary: Did you successfully send and receive funds on the network? For coolest visualization: How elegant are you able to convey complex information? Are you creative?

What are you looking for in a successful project?
Requirements for synchronizing to the network:

- Connect a node to the live network
- Successfully receive funds from the faucet
- Send a transaction to the echo bot
- Show us at our booth

Requirements for coolest visualization:

- Must use data from the Coda GraphQL API
- Visualize some aspect of Coda's network

Testnet Challenge - Xpring (4)

- Earn interest on XRP on Testnet.
- Collateralize a loan with XRP on Testnet.

Tendermint Cosmos Challenge (11)

Build something cool on Cosmos SDK. Other compatible frameworks looks lotionjs ok too. Using IBC is a big bonus.

Build some cool app in any category (DeFi, staking, privacy, gaming, etc) with Cosmos stack.

What's your judging criteria?
Build something inventive on cosmos, Tendermint, and/or IBC. Judging will be based on creativity, technical feasibility, modularity, and cryptoeconomic soundness.

Something that uses IBC to do cross-chain DeFi. But not required.
